Alfie Kungu is the perfect person to take you on a journey through colourful, joyful art that exudes pure joy. Alfie Kungu is a London-based artist who lives in his own world and splatters it on silk and satin canvases. Kungo has previously worked with some of the most prominent brands and creatives in the world, including Nike, Vans, and even Liam Hodges. But now, he is having his own moment. Kungu’s eagerly awaited solo exhibition is finally happening. The exhibition, entitled Gap Tooth, is a glimpse into Kungu’s brightly-coloured creative vision. Carhartt WIP supports the solo presentation. It features a variety of familiar characters from Kungu’s universe. They include flying frogs, swearing gummy bears, and all manner of playfulness. Alfie Kungu’s immersive body of work is only a small part of what he has in store. Carhartt WIP has teamed up with Alfie Kungu to create a few limited-edition T-shirts that showcase his eccentric characters. Alfie is now working with Village Books in Leeds to create a collaborative art book.
