It has been almost a year and a quarter since Ditte Reffstrup and Nicolaj re-presented their last runway show in person at GANNI. The husband and wife duo are now preparing for the spring/summer 2022 season. They made their grand return atop an artificial ski slope at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The runway was lined with trees and models walked down it filled with optimism and color, channeling GANNI’s positive energy.
“Our ‘Higher Love’ show concept is about reaching new heights. It’s about saying “yes” to everything, being open to all possibilities, and having fun. It’s about a mindset. Invoking our love of life and self-love. Responsible and a desire to do things right. We wanted to be true to ourselves and our strengths. So we brought back some GANNI classics and old-flames to rekindle the flame on some of our favourite projects and pieces.”, say the designers.
Looks were full of dynamic details, including unusual color combinations, ruffles and fun prints. A boxy blazer was worn with bra tops. A tweed jacket was layered over a striking orange shirt, and a pink dress. A striped bikini set and pastel-colored cardigans were part of the ever-popular crochet trend. GANNI also expanded its top-selling collection of dresses with floral prints. GANNI also announced that its best-selling line of dresses was now available in a wider range of sizes, ranging from US 14 to US 20.
