Rick Owens, who is back in Converse to rework Converse’s revived Weapon silhouette after his TURBODRK Chuck70 design, has been a part of Converse again. The TURBOWPN was designed by Rick Owens under his DRKSHDW collection. It features warped details all over. Converse’s latest creation was described by the designer as “I realized how powerful it was just oversizing something slightly”.
The original basketball shoe was the Weapon. However, the weapon has been updated with more exaggerated features similar to the TURBODRK. The outsole is chunky and the tongue is long. It has a co-branded label in black/white. The footwear style also features minimal details on the upper. Owens has his own interpretation of the American company’s star emblem. The TURBOWPN will be available at Rick Owens’s website and Converse’s online stores on August 31.
