Lyn Lapid has a new single, following “Infinite.” The track is called “In My Mind” and was teased by TikTok last Wednesday. It has been viewed over three million times. “In My Mind” is a song I wrote about growing up as the quiet kid. People always told me how quiet and incoherent I was. They were right. I kept my mouth shut all through school, even when I was with friends,” Lapid said in a press release. “I can remember the first time I sang at my school’s talent showcase, one of my classmates looked at me afterwards and said, ‘You know, I was surprised when your walked on stage. You hardly ever talk. You were going to be a suck. You didn’t, you were actually a good sport.”
She added that she was unsure how you would react to that truthfully. “I wrote about my thoughts and feelings, and people would be grateful that I kept it to myself. As Lapid sings the first verse, her soothing vocals blend seamlessly with the gentle notes of the guitar. The artist continues with the chorus. She demonstrates her soulfulness by saying, “People/Say that I’m/Quiet/Most often/If you knew what goes on inside my/Mind (if you knew).” You can now stream “In My Mind” on major streaming platforms.
