W Magazine reported that Ashley Olsen and Mary Kate Olsen have launched a children’swear line for The Row. The brand’s first capsule collection for children is now available in stores and online. Childrenswear was inspired by friends of the designers who had children during the pandemic.
Cashmere pants, crewnecks and belted cardigans are all included in the collection. The collection’s price points range from 390 to 790 dollars. Sizes are available from 2-10 years.
Everything in the collection is genderless, with no buttons, zippers, or laces. The Row’s mainline focus on primarily neutral colors is not evident in the children’s line. The Row has a wider range of colors than that, including blue, pink and orange.
Mary Kate and Ashley met with the children to learn about their preferences and helped them to design the collection. The collection’s proceeds will be donated to charity in Los Angeles, New York, London, and London. The brand hopes to grow the childrenswear collection beyond basic, but they will continue to take a steady and slow approach, just like they did when they launched The Row with just one T-shirt.
