One protestor from the international civil disobedience movement for climate change held a banner that read “Overconsumption = Extinction”.

An AFP photographer witnessed her climb onto the Louvre’s catwalk, as models showed off their latest looks, and then she was hustled by security guards.

Extinction Rebellion and Friends of the Earth, as well as Youth For Climate, stated in a statement that approximately 30 people had been involved in the planning of the protest. Two of them were arrested.

They urged the government to immediately reduce production in the sector as 42 pieces of clothing were being sold per person in France in 2019.

Louis Vuitton declined to comment immediately when was contacted.
