Audio Architect Apparel, a fashion brand that values sustainability talks on their view of fashion:

As a brand, we recognize our responsibility towards the environment and local communities.

Fast fashion has become a major problem for our environment and it’s been pushed to the forefront of the climate agenda in recent years. The questions surrounding fast fashion have been on the table since the very conception of Audio Architect Apparel. A lot of the drive behind Fast Fashion has come from consumers demanding the lowest possible price. The brands have been answering customers’ questions while cash has been tight. The environment has been affected by the efforts to drive down the price. It has suffered a lot.

Audio Architect Apparel believes fashion shouldn’t be quick. We don’t want garments made for people who aren’t concerned about the environment in which they live. We want to make a brand that can be held responsible for its actions. We believe that modern fashion should be sustainable.

We are all well aware of the harmful effects the fashion industry can have upon the environment. It is one of the largest polluters in the world. Audio Architect Apparel knows this and hates it! It is something we truly hate! We want to reduce the environmental impact that we make. These are the minimum standards we expect everyone in our supply chain should adhere to:

Everywhere possible, all materials are sourced from natural and organic, renewable, and recycled sources.

Our products do not contain any animal-derived materials (i.e. All animal derived materials used in our products (i.e. wool) are only from purpose-bred animals.

Every animal used in the production or use of any of our products must not be endangered or wild.

Habitat loss and destruction are not caused by the cultivation or harvesting of natural fiber crops.

Suppliers are asked to produce certification such as Oeko-tex and the Confidence in Textiles label to ensure the best possible practice is sought in any chemical and manufacturing process.

All factory discharges to water, air, and land must be kept within legal limits. They should have the least possible impact on the environment, people, and ecosystems.

We make every effort to conserve water and energy throughout our supply chain.

All efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste whenever possible. Hazardous wastes are properly separated, stored, and disposed of in a responsible manner.

At least once a year, sustainability and environmental performance is reviewed to identify any new business activities or add-ons and promote continuous improvement.
