90s denim

Patchwork

For spring-summer 2022, you can find patchwork jeans in every style, including a wide leg, cropped, or bootcut version. Fendace presented a baggy version of the jeans with a denim vest, while Coach showcased a more fitted version. Versace and Fendi collaborated to show patchwork ensembles that featured all-over logos.

Embellished and embroidered

Denim is often used by designers as a first layer in their creative process. Denim can be embellished with delicate embroidery or shiny embellishments. Dolce & Gabbana presented distressed jeans and a matching jacket with multicoloured stones. Gabbana presented distressed jeans with a matching jacket, which were finished with multicoloured stones.

Large and bulky

Comfort is also a popular choice for spring-summer 2022. The baggy jeans were seen on every catwalk, from Molly Goddard and Regina Pyo to Peter Do and Balenciaga. The last featured a loose-fitting distressed grey version with raw hems.

Y2K era

It’s not surprising that denim is receiving a makeover with 2000s fashion dominating next season’s collections. Jeans come in low-rise, bootcut styles and mellow colours. You can even pair some with an oversize belt like the Blumarine butterfly version.
