American retailer Walmart is deepening its relationship with Gap by introducing a furniture line to the store and adding a capsule Gap Home collection.

Gap Home Furniture is described by the manufacturer as “a collection of timeless American styles to modern living”. It includes sofas and chairs, ottomans and headboards, along with rugs, bedding and pillows.

Gap Home Furniture launches online at It features 150 pieces that are modern and inspired by Scandinavian, Midcentury, and Modern styles.

The collection’s highlights include living room staples that incorporate mid-century elements like a square ottoman, a wood base sofa, flared arm loveseats, a TV stand, and a coffeetable. Gap’s signature navy is also featured in items like the upholstered barrel chair.

There are many headboard options for bedrooms, such as a square-tufted headboard in cream or a modern, upholstered headboard with channelled channels in grey.

Rugs come in many textures and patterns, from modern stripes to eye-catching designs like chevron or geometric. All rugs cost between 99.98 and 236 US Dollars.

Walmart has introduced a capsule bedding line to select stores following the success of Gap Home’s debut earlier in the summer. The collection includes a blue and white washed-frayed organic cotton quilt and a navy and blue T-shirt soft jersey organic cotton blend comforter.

Anthony Soohoo is the executive vice president of Walmart US home. He stated in a statement that Walmart has spent years focusing on building its home collection to offer high-quality, stylish, and sometimes exclusive home goods and decor at an unbelievable value to customers.

“Our customers are spending more time in their homes and making more investments in them,” said a spokesperson. “We anticipate this nesting trend to continue, and Walmart will continue to offer a wide range of on-trend styles for shoppers so that everyone can have a beautiful home. Gap Home is an important part of this effort. There is much more to come.”
