Ben Gorham has launched a collector’s version of “Blanche”, earlier in the summer. Now, he is back with a new perfume under his label Byredo. The new scent, “Young Rose”, is inspired by the youth and restlessness of the new generation. It has a base of Ambroxan and musk and also contains Damascena rose notes and hints Sichuan pepper. “The next generation has an obligation to uphold the traditions of their predecessors. It is their responsibility to bravely explore the unknown, to find and develop the next ,” says Ben Gorham.
“Young Rose” salutes that spirit,” Gorham says of the scent. He was inspired by the creative dynamism he witnessed in China while on his travels. Byredo has hired Leslie Zhang to photograph the launch of “Young Rose”. She has created a body art that evokes the rose-inspired scent on young lovers. The 100 ml size will cost you $1,950 HKD (approximately $250 US).
