Jean Jullien, a French artist, has teamed up Fernand Surfboards for a new project. He hand-paints a variety of sea creature-inspired boards in his signature style. Two longboards painted in ivory and blue mimic the appearance of a seal or whale. Two shorter boards are painted to look more like fishes. Each piece has been finished with glassing by Resin League and diminishing polish by Paul Hyde. Alice Brussels Gallery is able to purchase the four surfboards, which aren’t being released widely.
