IKEA has selected Zandra Rhodes, a British fashion and textile designer, to launch a collaboration collection called “KARISMATISK.” IKEA has tapped Zandra Rhodes, a British fashion and textile designer, to launch a collaborative collection called “KARISMATISK.” The collection includes 26 bold statement pieces like pillows covers, throws and vases as well as lamps, candles holders, and lamps. The Swedish brand’s homeware collection is filled with creative homeware that brings life to any space. To create the range, they used IKEA’s five dimensions, “Democratic Design”, which are form, function and quality as well as sustainability and affordability. Zandra’s collection may be flamboyant, but she ensures that her collection can be enjoyed by all. “The IKEA team truly understands the Zandra Rhodes aesthetic and we bounce off each other because of that.” Rhodes says that the design process was organic and natural, which is evident throughout the entire collection. The digital launch of the line will take place on August 24th at 3:00 p.m. CEST (11 a.m. EST) and will be available to purchase on IKEA’s U.S. site and in stores starting September 1.
