The brand will donate 75,000 dollars each to three non-profit organizations that have been chosen to represent one of the campaign skits.
The skit The Proud Mom can be viewed on Every Mother Counts. This organization is committed to providing women with access to maternity care worldwide. The Dad Who Only Wants Socks has been linked to the Dovetail Project. This gives young African-American fathers (and Hispanic dads) skills and support to take care of their children. The Spoiled Teen is linked with OneGoal, which strives to provide equal college opportunities for students.
Heidi Gardner said, “It was an amazing dream to be able to bring humor to UGG Holiday Campaign and to embody these difficult characters to gift was not only fun but it was also a great deal of fun.”
The brand also supports philanthropic initiatives through Giving Tuesday, a worldwide movement that encourages generosity as well as for people and organizations to transform their communities.
Ugg will donate 25 percent of the retail price of Fluff Yeah, Super Fluff and Fluffita in red to three foundations for a maximum donation 30,000 dollars.
The campaign promotes the Classic Mini Stellar Sequins in Medallion, Fluff It Pop In Red Wine and Terracotta, and the Classic Mini Metallic Sparkle Soft Gold. Other items are also available on the Ugg Website.
Lindsey Dicola Dashoff stated, “This holiday we decided to express ourselves through humor and partner with Heidi Gardner & Mikey Day from Saturday Night Live on 3 hilarious skits that highlight Ugg’s one-stop shop, no matter the gifting challenge, is.”
