Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative Director, is putting Haute Couture into Skiwear through a collaboration with Rossignol, a heritage Alpine brand.

Balmain + Rossignol’s limited-edition collection includes clothing and equipment that can be used on and off the slopes. You can find skiwear such as jumpsuits, jackets, knitwear and ski boots.

The collection features variations of Balmain’s iconic Labyrinth pattern, which Pierre Balmain introduced 50 years ago. Rousteing recently reintroduced it.

This distinctive motif reflects Pierre Balmain’s fascination for the intricate pathways that weave through France’s Renaissance gardens. The repeated ‘B’ refers to both Pierre Balmain and his house. The interlocking “P” refers to both Pierre and Paris, which has been so closely connected with the house’s history and creations.

Highlights for women include an ivory-black ski jumpsuit with structured shoulder pads, the waist cinched with a gold medallion belt, a vibrant pink-and-black wool cardigan and quilted apres skiing boots. All feature Balmain’s Labyrinth print.

Men can choose from an ivory, black, or lime-green hooded, nylon jacket with matching ski pants and Balmain’s monogram. There are also black base layers with a neon Yellow Balmain logo print, and a reflective quilted cover.

Equipment such as futuristic ski poles and a mirrored helmet are also included in the collection.

Balmain + Rossignol is available at Balmain flagships around the world, at balmain.com, and in select luxury fashion shops and ski boutiques.
