OnlyFans, a London-based subscription service for content, has said that users will not be allowed to post explicit material. “OnlyFans will not allow the posting of content containing sexually explicit conduct,” a representative from OnlyFans told us. “We must update our content guidelines in order to maintain the platform’s long-term viability and keep it open to all creators and fans. This change, which was requested by its bank partners and pay providers, will be implemented on October 1.”
The spokesperson said that more information will be shared in the coming days. They will also actively support and guide creators through the content guidelines change. OnlyFans launched OFTV Android and iOS in anticipation of the ban. The streaming service offers free pornography content and can be downloaded on Apple TV, Roku and FireTV as well as Android TV, Roku and FireTV and Samsung Smart TVs.
