Fila, the sportswear specialist, has launched the all-size-inclusive women’swear collection Fila Performa. This range includes a variety of technology-enhanced activewear that is designed to enhance performance.
The Performa line is designed to fit women of all sizes and shapes. Sizes range from XS-4X. The collection includes sports bras, tank tops as well as short and long sleeves tops, hoodies and bike shorts.
According to a press release, the development of this line took 18 months. Fila’s team worked on extensive research and a wear testing program. Both were centered around the construction of three fabrics technologies that will be used throughout the collection.
Fila Uplift is a Lycra fabric that provides support and moisture-wicking technology in some of the line’s tops. Fi-Lux was used for other tops. It also includes hoodies and sweaters. Fila’s Forza by Fila can be found in biker shorts or leggings. It aims to lift and shape the body and uses Coolmax technology to keep it cool and dry.
Two separate collections will launch the 88-piece line over the autumn. Each collection will feature different colour schemes. Bright pinks, corals, blues, and greys are the first drop. The second drops features a variety of marble and tie dye patterns. The second drop features ribbed textural details in the form of navy, pink and lavender colours.
The brand collaborated with female-owned gyms and instructors across the US to launch the Performa collection. Fila suggested that a similar line of men’swear is planned for launch in 2022.
