Due to the “increasingly difficult Covid-19 situation in Germany”, trade shows Premium, Seek and Neonyt were postponed.

Frankfurt Fashion Week stated that the German government’s decision to place restrictions because of the spread of Omicron virus means that only some events will be able to take place physically.

Messe Frankfurt, organizer of the textile trade show Neonyt, and lifestyle fashion show Val:ue; and the Premium Group, which organisers the women’s- and menswear tradeshows Premium and Seek as well as the fashion festival The Ground and the Fashiontech Conference, both due to take place in January, have been moved to July 5-7, 2022.

Olaf Schmidt (Vice President of Textiles and Textil Technologies at Messe Frankfurt) stated in a statement that “We are conscious of the industry’s pressing need to have personal meetings.” We are confident that the January showcases, events, and conferences we will be holding, in accordance with coronavirus restrictions in Frankfurt, will send a positive message that something is in operation.”

Frankfurt Fashion Week will continue to take place from January 17-21. However, it will be on a smaller scale. Only those who comply with Germany’s new 2G and 2G plus rules will be allowed to exhibits, previews and installations.

Visitors must show proof of vaccination, or a recovery status from the virus. 2G plus requires that visitors also submit a negative antigen test every day.

Organisers stated that conference, talks, and panels would continue in a reduced hybrid format.
