The French auction market Artcurial will kick off the new year with a bang. Its first high-end auction will take place at Monte Carlo’s Hotel Hermitage, January 15-19.

Public exhibitions and auctions will be held for a selection of high-end goods, including jewellery and rare watches as well as luxury handbags.

Louis Grether, Artcurial Monaco’s Director, stated in a release that “The year 2021 was an exceptional year for Artcurial Monaco, and we are contemplating our next luxury sale in Jan 2022 with great confidence.”

Dior, Cartier and Hermes are just a few of the well-known brands that will be up for auction. Many names from past auctions are also available. After the success of last July’s vintage auction, Repossi has renewed its loyalty to Artcurial. The brand will release the second part its heritage pieces collection at the event’s winter edition.

In 2002, the French auction house was established. Since then, it has launched new specialties, increasing its expertise to 25 areas, and opening a number global subsidiaries. One of these is the Monte Carlo residence. According to the site, the house had close to 150 million euros in sales volume in 2020. It expects the next event to bring in more “unprecedented sales.”
