Three of Sorel’s signature styles have been reimagined exclusively by Zappos Adaptive. This is Zappos.com’s curated shopping experience that offers functional and fashionable products.

Sorel worked closely with Zappos.com in order to create its first accessible footwear collection. This includes modifications to the Explorer II Joan Dual Zip style, Emelie II Chelsea Heel Zip, and Explorer Boot Dual Zip style.

For everyone to enjoy the bestselling styles, the adaptive line includes details like dual zippers and larger pull loops.

Sorel explains that each design element, from the closures and stitching to the lace length and collar height has been modified to “strike a perfect balance of style and function” and was evaluated in real-time with individuals with disabilities.

Mark Nenow, President of Sorel, stated in a statement that “We continue to successfully mix functionality and style because we know our customers are not willing to sacrifice any aspect. Working with Zappos Adaptive will allow Sorel to empower even more people through function-first design. Sorel is truly for everyone.”

Dana Zumbo is the business development manager at Zappos Adaptive. She said: “We are humbled to have been able to work with Sorel in introducing their first inclusive shoe line to the market.”

“We seamlessly aligned with both brands because of our passion for customer needs. This included sharing feedback from Zappos Adaptive customers and working directly to the disability community in order to make sure the best fit and wear.”
