ThreeASFOUR’s tech-fused collaboration explored how our chakras can be used to enhance our fashion sense. The collection was called “Kundalini” after the Hindu concept of the divine feminine energy that is located at the base the spine. It included every color of the rainbow. Each color represented a different mood or element, such as air, fire, water, etc.
ThreeASFOUR and Kornit collaborated on the collection, which included seven prints to represent each chakra. Adi Gil, one of Kornit’s three designers, told FashionUnited that chakras are “something very universal.” “The other designers and myself are always searching for inspirations that are universal and can connect all countries using color. We believe we all are connected as human beings. This idea is more important than ever in these times.”
Gil stated that the theme of the collection was so important in the wake of 2020. “It is important to remember that we are connected with our planet. Many things are happening, and sometimes COVID-19 lockdowns occur to remind us to respect the planet and to connect with each other.”
This collection is extremely sustainable due to the fact that the technology used for printing the prints was low-waste and requires very little water. ThreeASFOUR is always looking for sustainable production methods to help save the planet.
This collection included laser-cut fabrics, origami pleats and mixed textures. It also featured garments made from grosgrain ribbon. The pieces were made in both form-fitting and loose-fitting styles. The collection was filled with color and variety.
