Capri Holdings Limited released its 2021 Corporate Social Responsibility Report, which details its progress towards key CSR goals.

Its strategy can be divided into three areas: Our World, which is focused on sustainability and creating products that last, Our Community which is about creating inclusive workplaces and opportunities for employees, as well as Our Philanthropy which gives back to the communities Capri Holdings lives in and works in.

Capri Holdings signed the Science Based Targets Initiatives Business Ambition agreement as part of its Our World initiatives. This commits Capri Holdings to working towards science-based goals that aim at keeping global warming under 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, the company saw an increase in leather coming from suppliers that met high environmental standards. The company is on track to source 95 percent of its leather from Leather Working Group Silver or Gold certified tanneries by 2025.

It joined RE100 to increase its commitment towards achieving 100 percent renewable energy.

John D. Idol, chairman and chief executive officer of Capri Holdings said that “our corporate social responsibility strategy was always about focusing energy and resources where they can make the most impact on people and planet.”

The Our Community section of the website reveals that the company pledged 20,000,000 to the Capri Holdings Foundation for the Advancement of Diversity in Fashion to help further its mission of diversity in the fashion industry.

The company received 80 points out 100 when it submitted its first submission to Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index.

The company also committed to increasing the number of Black employees in its senior and junior-level positions. @PrideCapri was launched to give its LGBTQ+ employees access and support groups.

Capri Holdings also donated 3 million as part of Our Philanthropy to international and local organizations that were committed to aiding victims of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Capri Holdings continued to support Women for Women International through both the Jimmy Choo Foundation and the Born This Way Foundation through Versace’s Pride 2021 programming.

It donated 35,000,000 Michael Kors products and provided 24,000,000 school meals through the Michael Kors Watch Hunger Stop campaign.
