Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney’s future was mushroom-shaped when she presented her first collection of bags made from mushrooms. McCartney collaborated with Mylo to rework signature pieces using the leather substitute material. The theme was continued with hand-drawn mushroom motifs appearing as a print in a selection of jumpsuits, skirts, and dresses with swimsuit-like cut and softened corsetry structuring.

Balenciaga

Demna Gvasalia was looking to bring a smile on fashion faces after a difficult time. The proportions were played up by large gowns and extravagant tailoring, while sequins, feather boas as well as huge gothic platforms added glamour and drama. Celebrities and models posed together in front of the paparazzi at the red carpet as Gvasalia explored the possibility of turning the brand into an entertainment experience.

Hermes

The Hermes collection was more tranquil and immersive than the others. It was placed against a sunny-yellow background created by Flora Moscovici that exuded hope and optimism for the future. Baggy trousers, shifts, and crop tops, which combine comfort and practicality, were paired with buttery-handled leather pieces and handcrafted knitwear. Hammered metallic studs, eyelets, and hammered metallic studs all alluded to the label’s equestrian heritage.
