Unlimited Footwear Group (UFG), has announced a new strategic licensing partnership agreement with Gap Inc., which will allow it to design, produce, and distribute Gap-branded footwear.

In a deal mediated by IMG, the agreement covers the entire European Union, the UK and Switzerland, as well as Scandinavia.

The upcoming footwear collections will all aim to reflect Gap’s values of making responsibly-made, well-made styles. The first UFG-led drop is scheduled for spring/summer 2023.

Adrienne Gernand (Managing Director of International, Global Licensing and Wholesale at Gap Inc) stated that “Partnering With Licensees Such as UFG Gives Us the Opportunity to Amplify Our Strong, Globally Relevant Brand and Expand Its Reach to Customers Around the World.”

This deal is part Gap’s 2020 ‘partner-to-amplify’ strategy. It emphasizes the group’s commitment to working with high-level companies in order to extend product offerings. This mission has helped to launch Gap Home which introduced homeware into the group’s portfolio.

Gernand said, “Through these licensing partnerships we are able to grow our non-apparel category and establish Gap Lifestyle Brand that delivers style for every stage of our customers’ lives.”

UFG’s The Heritage Footwear Company division is responsible for Gap Footwear collections. Plans call for two new collections per year at a mid-price point. The products will be sold through the international wholesale and online channels, as well as through UFG’s international retail sales network.
