Victoria Beckham might not have been in London Fashion Week this season, however, she didn’t want to omit it and today, she unveiled her spring/summer 2022 collection online.
Beckham’s ‘Movements’ collection is a playful mood for spring/summer 2022. It pays tribute to her European vacation, which she calls “rose-tinted” and “rooted in elegance.” The collection features soft, summer tailoring, silk slides, and wrap skirts in a palette that is inspired by sunsets. There are also jolts to metallics, ice, and burnt orange.
“When I thought about this season, I was drawn to its elegance and European feel. Beckham explains in her show notes that she loves linen suits, slip dresses, and sunsets. A trip like this can leave you feeling detached from reality and like another time. It’s quite romantic.”
The collection has a romantic feel but also features a masculine silhouette.

Beckham said: “I like the idea of a couple sharing a holiday wardrobe. The shirt of your partner can be worn over your slip dress or swimsuit, and a shacket tied into tailored trousers. You can swap your everyday jewellery for one heavy piece of something more masculine.
“A masculine silhouette is a part of our DNA. When I thought about this season, there was a diverse mix of well-dressed men. Leo [DiCaprio] was dressed in linen. Ray Liotta was in Goodfellas with the string vest, unbuttoned shirt and then Mr Beckham.”
The result was a collection of contrasts. Fluid, silk-strappy dresses were grounded in masculinity with slouchy tailoring, voluminous coats, and demure kitted Polo shirts were paired with structured metallic wrap skirts. String vests were layered on top of elegant silk skirts and dresses.
